What happened at AIM 2024
2024 the problem statement was about Self Driving
It was the same thing but slightly simpler but it was all about speed
- Processing data taken as input from sensors attached on car
- Taking in sensors’ output and move the car accordingly
It also had the regional finale as a simulation in Gazebo
Im thinking they were also using ROS
So if we find examples of last year we should have a great headstart
We also need to figure out who our judges would be
We can take a good guess from social media posts of NXP last year?
https://nxp.gitbook.io/nxp-aim/installation-of-nxp-aim-setup Found something
Sounds like the entire environment is made for installation under ubuntu 🤮
Update: they are using ros2 we need to figure out how to create a world like this for our use case im also somewhat sure we will get a similar document for our competition this year...
Hence the wait time probably
The above link has obstacle information that they used last year which is huge at this early into our prep
It literally has detailed guides to do this (interesting )
looks like the min IQ required to enter this is atleast knowing linux and knowing somewhat a bit of firmware developer
whoever made this website better be an official and not someone from the competition
